Stress Excess is a Northern California electronic post-punk project blending analog synthesizers, angular guitars, drum machines, and minimalist production into a stark, modern sound. Taking cues from the melodic detachment of 80's synthpop/new wave and the cold, robotic rhythms of EBM/industrial, the band explores themes of identity, technology, alienation, and obsession to create electronic music where melody, repetition, and tension carry equal weight.
